Timely & professional.

How much would you like to know? We started the afternoon not even thinking about an automobile purchase. My wife and I talked about replacing my vehicle with a new one. I already knew I wanted a Chevy, and I'd been focused on the Malibu. Over lunch, we decided that we'd visit a dealership as I'd never even sat in one, much less driven one. Maybe I should find out if that's what I really wanted. Smedley's Chevrolet was the closest to home, so we thought we'd start there. We arrived and noted the strange lack of sedans in the lot. Still, we parked and started walking around. Almost immediately, we were met by Billy Kessler. He was very helpful and eager to answer questions and provide information. He was certainly not the "pushy sales guy" most people expect at car dealerships. He explained how sedans have basically been phased out and that the Malibu has now been relegated to fleet vehicle status. It answered the question as to why they're barely even featured on Chevy websites. When I explained the features I was looking for in my next vehicle, Billy guided us toward a Chevy Trax. It was as if he was psychic. First, the color and appearance were striking. I've wanted a white vehicle with black accents for decades, but never quite got it. I've been buying used for many years, as my last new vehicle purchase was back in 1989. As a crossover, it's smaller than an SUV. I did not want an SUV. My wife already owns one (a Chevy Equinox), so it seemed redundant. Second, sitting in the Trax, it was roomier and more comfortable than I'd imagined. Suddenly, I could see going on road trips in it! After a test drive, it wasn't difficult to make the jump to "I like this vehicle very much!" Billy suggested we run the numbers and see what's possible. Again, no commitment and it can't hurt to see what I'd need to put down versus what monthly payments will be like. Billy presented those numbers up front, including multiple options for a down payment, payment terms (number of months) and what the approximate monthly payment might be. Based upon this information, it was possible to make an educated decision as to whether or not we should pull the trigger right there. My wife and I discussed it. The trade-in value of my old car wasn't going to go up... and the price of a new car wasn't going to go down... and there were clear choices in the payment options that we could afford right now! At that point, we decided that, yes, we were going to do this. It was the right vehicle, at the right price, at the right time, with the right sales guy. Billy was very upfront, personable and likeable. I would happily buy a vehicle from him again. Moreover, I would recommend to anyone who was in the market for a new vehicle to go see Billy. If the rest of Smedley's sales staff is and has been like Billy, then it's no wonder this dealership has been in business for nearly a century! I knew I didn't need to look any further. It was a very, very pleasurable buying experience!

This is my 1st Cheverolet and not my last. It was the smoothest transition from my used truck to new truck I’ve ever experienced. I had numerous employees approach and ask if I needed anything or had any questions. Very low stress and a pleasant buying experience.

When I scheduled I explained my concern about the inside of my tires showing wear & wondered if something was rubbing or out of alignment. When i called it was out for a test drive & they called back & said “if you can handle the noise i would just wait until you need new tires”. So no one even bothered to put it up on the rack & take a look, then charged me $35.00! Also a recall was supposed to be taken care of & was then told they had to order parts. Very frustrating.

I had a great experience at your dealership! At no time was I pushed in any direction to pick any car. Your sales guy Dennis was truly knowledgeable of the cars that I looked at. Dennis was patient and eager to answer all questions. He even got the Chevy app on my phone. And Jackie in the office was pleasant and friendly.

Keep up the good professionals work

Took my vehicle in for the 3rd time within a year for a recall. 1. transmission 2. computer 3. another computer. I was told by the dealer to disconnect the battery every time I used it. I have driven less than 7000 miles in a year and have never been more dissatisfied with a company or a product which I am spending an insane amount of money on. I am ready to drive this back to the dealer and return it no matter the cost. When I finally got the vehicle back I had 0 communication as to the problem, fix or if the vehicle was actually fixed and how. very dissappointed

Everything was good but you didn't address the slow leak on the back drivers side tire. The tires were rotated now I don't know where that particular tire is and if it was fixed or not.

The salesman remembered that I was looking for a particular vehicle that was "in transit" and called me as soon as it came in. The deal was SUPER, a trim package above another I was looking at with the cold weather package I wanted and $100.00 less bottom line. He also assisted me in recovering some property i accidently left in my trade in. Overall GREAT job by all involved.

I dropped my car off so that they can do an oil change sometime throughout the day. The service guy said that they had time to do it right away. That made my day.

These people are always friendly and professional. Oil change and tire rotation, maintenance inspection, wasn't there 40 minutes. I've had Smedleys do all my maintenance on my 2021 silverado, and won't let anyone else work on it.

They told me I needed a new battery. I call AAA they came out to my house to put new battery in my car. They tested my old battery and said it was fine I didn’t need a new battery. I am not happy about that. I made AAA come to my house for no reason! Can I trust you to be honest with me about other issues of my car?

The service department got my appointment scheduled in reasonable time frame. My vehicle was repaired the same day. The staff are friendly and competent.

I showed up a day early for my scheduled appt. I was just going to come back the next day but the young man(can't remember his name)in the service dept fit me right in since I was already there. I was in and out within 30 mins with my oil changed. It was greatly appreciated.

Needed an oil change and a change out of out coolant temperature sensor and wire and while there fulfilled the recall of the airbag. Once again Smedleys service knocked it off perfectly and cheaper than another local shop. These guys are just so good.

Kolten,our sales representative was extremely helpful in helping us with the technology. Being older we struggle with passwords, email, OnStar, etc. He was very patient with us. He took two test drives with us which helped us choose the right vehicle for us. All of your sales representatives seemed friendly and respectful. We were probably there between two days for close to 6 hours and witnessed the respect they have for each other.

Problems with thermostat sticking. Fixed it but, charged $38.77 for antifreeze, which was ridiculous. Also, found steering links broken. Fixed that. Expensive but I'm satisfied.

George in Service!!! I had just come from a service shop in Dayton area where they really couldn't figure out what to do about a service engine code on my 2020 Silverado. I was almost past the Vandalia exit when I recalled back in 1999 I had also gone to Smedleys when I was in Dayton from Colorado to visit family. I ended up buying a truck that day. Now, I had to figure out what I was going to do to get my wife and me 1200 miles back to Colorado. I stopped into service mostly out of curiosity to see if they had any ideas. From the time I met George in Service my life got exceptionally better. He suggested a great plan of action. There was a recall on my truck so we set up an appointment next business day to take care of that and to see if it fixed the problem, followed by a full diagnostic if it didn't. While I waited for the verdict, I browsed the showroom. I had a great conversation with Joey Smedley. Then I decided to take a test drive with Devon who did a great job as well. George came back with a fix for the truck with the price being right in line with what I researched over the weekend. George also showed me what I could expect to pay in maintenance in the near future for my truck with 108,000 miles. Everything George said was right in line with what my son, who had been doing some research also came up with. Throughout this entire experience there was no pressure to do anything from anyone, just the facts and anticipated ongoing maintenance. Well within a few hours I was driving a 2026 Equinox off the showroom floor. I can't stress enough how impressed I was with George. He works in service, but this sale would not have happened without him. I was also impressed with Joey and Devon. Just got back to Colorado and just wish George, Joey and Devon worked in a dealership out here.

Issue with TV, but, great seevice

After waiting 45 minutes for the managers to figure out why the insurance check was made out to the wrong person, I then had to wait even longer while they finished replacing the electrical components on the door.There were multiple points where they failed to meet basic customer service expectations. I was called out and told the truck was ready, only to then be told they realized the check was written incorrectly and that I couldn’t take the truck. They eventually resolved the issue, but when I finally saw the truck, I discovered it was fully installed incorrectly.There was no apology and no courtesy closing. The body shop manager simply handed me my keys, said, “It should be good,” and walked away.

Jon Casey was our salesman. He did a great job! He was very helpful and knowledgeable. He wasn’t pushy at all . Would highly recommend him!

Friendly staff and honest.

Before when I came to this dealership, someone met me out in the area where I pull the car in but not this time. I had to go in where the workers were not too friendly but not rude either. Previous workers were more friendly. Also, I came for an oil change and to check my TPS's. When I received n the that my car was ready, the guy did not mention anything about my sensors nor the note they wrote on my car check sheet. Seems like they would have said something about both.

The low rating is not on the service @ the dealership but on GM!

Dennis was great. He explained everything that was happening. Everyone worked with me to make sure that I was able to turn in my previous lease, and start a new lease with no issues at all.

Very nice sales man (DEVIN COOPER) not pushy patient informed me on alot of the process. Went out of his way to tell me about all the buttons were. Helped me out on programming my computer screen. Experience was excellent and I love my new car. Definitely going to try to bring in New customers to your dealership.

Dennis was wonderful. Finance contradicted what Dennis said about the black bow ties. They were supposed to be in the deal. It was listed in the offer and then was told it wasn’t when we got into finance. We felt like they said they weren’t in the deal because they weren’t sent to dealer in time to put them on. They were on offer so they should have made it right and at least sent them to us. They also submitted the wrong VIN number to my bank causing us to have to spend a Saturday morning at our bank correcting paperwork, causing inconvenience.
